Lionfish World Championship! May 18th – 21st, 2017
The Gulf Coast Lionfish Coalition, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Reef Rangers, Coast Watch Alliance, along with many other sponsors are hosting the Lionfish World Championship in Pensacola, Florida,
March 10th – May 18th – Pre-Tournament
Registered participants may compete in the Pre-Tournament for raffle tickets. For each Lionfish donated during the pre-tournament, you will receive 2 raffle tickets for the prize drawings during the Lionfish World Championship prize giveaway. There will also be a special drawings just for pre-tournament raffle ticket holders.
Pre-Tournament fish can be turned in and verified at the following locations:

May 18th – Captain’s Safety Meeting – 6:00pm at The Oar House – 1000 S. Pace Blvd. Pensacola, FL 23501
We will be back at The Oar House this year for the Captain’s Safety Meeting. A Team/Boat Captain for each team must be present at the Safety Meeting. All tournament participants are encourage to attend and meet fellow lionfish hunters. In order to be officially entered into the competition, all team member’s registration and liability release forms must be turned in by 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017.
May 19th & 20th – Lionfish Shootout – Gulf of Mexico
Lionfish may only be taken during tournament hours and the fish must be presented to the scoring station. Tournament hours are sunrise until sunset Friday 5/19/17 and Saturday 5/20/17. Pre tournament raffle entry will be allowed starting 3/10/17. All fish must be present at scoring station by the times and dates below.
The Scoring Station will be at Plaza de Luna at Palafox Pier Pensacola (900 S Palafox Street) The scoring station will be open from 3:00pm – 5:00pm Sat 5/20/17 and 8:00 am – 11:00am Sun. 5/21/17. All fish must be present at scoring station by 11:00am Sun 5/21/17 to be counted.
All participants need to read and understand the Tournament Rules prior to signing up.

May 21st – Weigh-in and Awards
All fish must be present at the scoring station by 11:00am on Sunday 5/21/17. The Awards presentations we be at Plaza de Luna Park after the completion of the final count. Participants must be present to win. A team designee may pick up prizes for a team member that cannot attend the awards presentation.
